Samizu website archived 4/22/23

  Samizu Matsuki Japanese-born artist who won the  Gold Medal at the First New York International Art Show  in 1970, the  Grand Prix at the Locust Valley Art Show,  Long Island, New York in 1971 and the  Award of Excellence at the Abraham & Straus-Hempstead Art Show, "Long Island Art '74" . In 2011,  Samizu was honored  in recognition of her 1970's achievements, by the Maine state legislature. Samizu was the first woman  to be inducted into  the prestigious  Salmagundi Club.  .
