President's Speech: more gambling the nation's human and material wealth on the casino table named "Iraq Civil War"

On the Presidential Speech, January 10, 2007, promoting increased Iraq involvement by American Force* * Note: Britain has announced a non-increase of armed forces, and is moving in the direction of withdrawal.

The American Administration's overall at this point design seems to be to create powerful centralized government, much the same fashion as Hussein and the Shah.

Extraordinary concentration of American Armed forces in Baghdad is the most palpable expression of this speculation.

As one can observe in General MacArthur's campaign, swift and total occupational pattern is essentially the most important factor to achieve successful occupation especially of those heterogeneous territories of fundamentally different cultures.

Within, as I remember, less than a month, entire territory of Imperial Japan was completely occupied by American Forces.  This maneuver itself inevitably creates a strongly centralized system covering the entire land.

Since the chance in Iraq to recreate the above maneuver is long gone, the Bush administration seems to take a reversed process: create a strong central government then expand it s power sphere over time.

As I mentioned already, the creation of a tightly centralized governing system is usually the product of successful total occupation, if above stated American design is what is going on ,any speculations at this stage in regard to the success or failure of said design would be as certain as throwing dice.

Perhaps because of this above mentioned uncertainty, the presidential speech puts more emphasis on delaying development of “after action-condition” when near total maximum security is achieved at some imaginary point in time.

This president is about gambling the nation's human and material wealth on the casino table named "Iraq Civil War”. I'll bet for losing.

Thus I do strongly oppose the presidential proposition of putting a Stalinistic totalitarian maximum security police-state type government in place in the name of democracy. SM
