1969 Samizu divorces Herman Berry at base in Calumet Air Force Station in northern Michigan. Moves to Oregon with Andrew Delaney
1969 Samizu wins logo design contest for 1969 Oregon Loggers Festival, Albany Oregon. Creates many minor works, including her almost imperceptibly surrealistic stilllife of violin.
1970 Samizu and Delaney move to New York City, Delaney's mother becomes Samizu's patron, giving her living and working space to paint.
1971 Samizu paints "Triumphal Return", "Still Life" and "Self portrait" A large version of Triumphal Return
1972 Samizu paints "Barbara and the Fortune teller", "-opia!" Samizu returns to Japan
1973 Samizu returns to New York City. She is approached by the Salmagundi Club and joins them
1973 Samizu moves in with Mrs ____ Riker of Long Island. Riker become Samizu's patron
1973 Samizu paints "A Celebrator" and the "Annunciation"
1974 Samizu paints "Ah!" A picture of a cracked-open cooked lobster, symbolizing one of the shattered tanks littering the deserts of the Yom Kippur War in the Middle east.

1975 Samizu paints "The Blue Ghost" oil painting
1976-1979 Samizu returns to Oregon. Severe leg pain strikes, making it hard to stand still and paint. 1976 photo
She pursues a post bachelor degree at Oregon State University Corvallis Oregon, and works at the university as a janitor. See 1978 article photo article
Visits California, paints a mural in a health spa.
1980 Samizu tours western Canada. Paints several portraits and a drawing series illustrating the book AuI: the Language of Space.
1985 Samizu draws the cover picture for the Autumn 1985 Earth First! Journal. Drawing depicts tree sitte/r protester Ron Huber of Maryland 80 feet up a tree being confronted by two sheriff's deputies in a crane box. (I have original if needed.)

1988-1992 Samizu moves to Cheverly Maryland with Ron Huber. They move to a rehabilitated former slave house on the Maidstone Manor estate in Calvert County. Samizu paints a series of drawings of Japanese dancers and a number of bay scape oil paintings for several collectors. Samizu contracts sever case of Lyme disease that causes her to paint ever darker paintings, to the despair of the collectors.

1993 Samizu moves to Maine, joining husband Ron Huber
2006 Samizu divorces Ron Huber. They remain friends
2006 to 2011 Samizu receives lengthy treatment for continuing Lyme disease
2011 Samizu learns she will be honored at Salmagundi Club for being pioneer woman artist.
